Mikki Kornegay is a Philadelphia, PA based gospel singer who began her singing career in church. The daughter of pastors, she has fulfilled her dream to write, sing and record gospel music. Mikki has performed with several major label artists and has learned from the best and has become a seasoned performer in her own right.
She has toured worldwide with such notables as Patti Labelle, Phyllis Hyman, Johnathan Butler, Regina Belle and Miles Jaye. She has done stage performances and studio backing vocals for Grover Washington, JR., Nancy Wilson, Teddy Pendergrass, Kenny Latimore, Stevie Wonder, Brian Mcknight, Gerald Levert, Shirley Ceasar, Yolanda Adams and Jeffrey Osborne.
Mikki has appeared on various TV shows such as The Today Show on NBC, The Home Show, Motown Live, The Magic Hour, and The Arsenio Hall Show.
Her debut CD is entitled "Give Me A Sign" and contains 12 orignal gospel compositions that Mikki wrote and produced. The first single from the CD is entitled " Keep Smiling" and is a mid tempo, positive track that will instantly draw the listener to Mikki's vocal talents. The CD is an eclectic mix of contemporary gospel music laced with cogent lyrics.
