Without A Clue
Without A Clue is a prolific, hard driving Funk and R&B band that is based in North Carolina. The band was formed in 1987 and maintains as its core members, Carlos Morales - Lead Guitar, Semmie Neal - Drums, Fred Mills - Keyboards and Vocals, and J.T. Edwards on Lead Vocals. Recent additions to the band include Tracey Hughes - Vocals and Steve Edwards - Keyboards.
Semmie Neal, who is also a writer and arranger has also performed shows with Lenny White, Chic Korea, Tony Williams, The Ohio Players and The Crusaders.
J.T. Edwards performed lead vocals for "Beethovan Black Boxx and The Celestial Gospel Singers. He was also a member of the North Carolina A&T Jazz Ensemble and the North Carolina University Choir.
Tracey Hughes has performed throughout the east coast for one of North Carolina's hottest groups, the "Mighty Majors". She has performed and opened shows for such artists as Alabama, Jerry Butler, Wilson Pickett, Eddie Floyed, Funkadelics, Christopher Williams and Mellisa Morgan.
Steve Edwards plays guitar as wel as keyboards and has performed with several North Carolina based groups such as Nitetrax, North Carolina Power Band and Pizzazz.
Fred Mills founded the Charlotte, NC based band "Sweet Dreams", and perfomred with the vocalist Betty Davis. He was also the lead vocalist for Atlantic Records recording group "Chops", and a contributing songwriter to the soundtrack to the motion picture :White Girl", produced by Tony Brown.
Carlos Morales has appeared on the Jonny Carson Show, American Bandstand, Solid Gold, Showtime, MTV and HBO. He co-wrote the song "Everyday" with Julian Lennon and "Valotte".He has also performed with The Gap Band and has done extensive studio work for A&M Records.
The group's debut CD is entitled "2 Sweet" and features 12 original
tracks that run the musical gamet from the funk laced guitar grooves of
" Konfuse" to the slow tempo "Enough Of Your Love", and a whole lot
in between.
