PHILIPPE ARCOSTANZO aka "GOTTA", was born in MARSEILLE, FRANCE,  in 1975. Keyboardist, composer, arranger, remixer..., he started with “classical piano” at 6 years old and got his certificate in 1993 – obtaining first prize in classic piano and in contemporary music too. At the same time he was in the university in AIX EN PROVENCE where he worked “jazz piano” with a famous French jazz man. He got the third prize of European jazz during the RAVEL GRANADOS competition, and the first prize for piano solo during the WORLD’S CHILDREN COMPETITION.
He spent one year in MONTREAL and in NEW YORK to improve himself.  He subsequently worked with various bands, trios, quartets, big bands,  and Cuban bands (LA CHANGARA DEL SOL). He performed on several   tours with different artists in Europe (France, Switzerland, Monaco, Italy, Belgium).
He worked with some hip hop French label, wrote music for one-reeler and radio’s jingles.
His musical influences include  funk, soul, acid jazz, gospel and r’n’b, artists as STEVIE WONDER, ARETHA FRANKLIN, ISAAC HAYES, JAMES BROWN, MACEO PARKER, fEWF, GAP BAND and PRINCE, English sound with INCOGNITO, JAMIROQUAI... Black music was a revelation; black vocals, fender Rhodes and whawha guitar became his universe. His most important influence came from HERBIE HANCOCK.
That’s why in 1997 he decided to create his own band “SOULN’AM” (acid jazz, funk, soul), with a mix of African percussion (djembe, derbouka…) Latino (congas), and Indian (tablas). After recording two maxi CD's and several concerts in France, he created his own Homestudio and more particularly used music from r'n'b, nu-soul, dancefloor, house, and garage.
He got under way several r'n'bs' projects in France, and in the  US, and worked with several DJs from the French Riviera. In his Homestudio, he remixed some house single for English, French and American labels.

His debut CD is entitled "Got To Be Free"  and features 10  up-tempo dance  tracks, melodic R&B grooves and gospel.

The title track “Got To Be Free”, features Barbara Harris on vocals, who has  been performing R&B for many years. Barbara also showcases her vocal skills on the infectious House beat " Out Of The Blue", which is destined to quickly become a club anthem. Barbara  culminates the CD with the infamous Gospel song "Amazing Grace".
