Aaron Bernard
Brim.
Aaron Bernard Brim is a Jazz, R&B and Gospel, drummer and bandleader. Known as Bernard, he was born in Reidsville, North Carolina were he began his musical career by playing in school bands and subsequently the military. In 1987 he moved to New York, where he attended S.U.N.Y. College at Old Westbury and studied African American Percussion. He has performed with several bands, including Duke Jones, Nate Fitzgerald, Dave Gordon, David Peaston, Cheryl "Pepsi" Riley and the Rhythm Kings. His performances have taken him to Osaka, Japan, United Arab Emerites in the Middle East and various Jazz festivals in Mexico and the Carribean. His current CD is entitled
"The Hem of His Garment", which contains 10 original gospel compositions,
that he describes as the "healing CD", in which he was given the inspiration
from God. In addition to Aaron Bernard Brim on drums, the CD features Al
MacDowell on bass, keys and clavinet. Tony Kelly is also featured on keys,
along with Joe Scott on organ and keys, Kenny Demery and Phillip Henry
on lead guitar, Jeff Haynes and Warren Smith on percussion and David Lee
Jones on alto sax and Timothy (Saxy Ric) Richardson on tenor sax.
